Our mission is to foster a lifelong love of learning from a Biblical perspective, equipping our child with the tools necessary for a complete education. We aim to cultivate life skills and character development to enable our child to seek out and walk in his God-given calling. Raising a child who above all, loves the Lord, and loves others.
Curriculum
We are passionate about learning. We don't want to just do school at home, we want to dive into interests, go deeper and develop a learning experience for the whole family!Gather 'Round Homeschool is the perfect fit for us as our main curriculum. Gather 'Round spider webs all of our subjects including social studies, science, history, reading, writing, spelling, grammar, geography, art, Bible, and more (with the exception of math) around an engaging topic. With each unit, we utilize many different books, novels, videos, hands-on resources, and field trips to enhance our learning experience whenever possible."We don't just homeschool, we Gather 'Round!"For math, we are enjoying Life of Fred with some workbooks, apps, and games thrown in at times for practice. Life of Fred is a different approach to math. After trying a few other math curriculums, we've found Life of Fred to be enjoyable and effective for us. "Can we please do one more chapter?" is heard almost daily. What kid asks for more math? A kid who reads Fred.We add various supplemental curricula and resources as well depending on our son's specific needs and goals. Our current supplements include:IEW Fix It Grammar
